About Doodle Guess on Suvi
Doodle Guess is a drawing and guessing game for two to four friends, each on their own phone or computer. One of you gets a word to draw; everyone else watches the lines appear live on their own screen and types guesses. Guess fast for more points, and the artist scores for every friend who gets it. Turns go round until everyone has drawn twice. Rooms are private: you make one, send the link or the six-letter code, and only people you invite can join. There's no public matchmaking and no typed chat, just quick phrases and emotes, and every guess has to be a real word. Nothing to download. No friends free right now? Practice drawing on your own and watch your doodle play back.
How to play
- Tap Create a room and send the invite link (or the room code) to two or three friends.
- When everyone's in, the host taps Start. Whoever's turn it is picks one of three words: easy, medium or hard.
- The artist draws; everyone else watches the drawing appear and types guesses. A letter of the word shows halfway through, and another later.
- Guess right quickly for more points. The artist scores for each person who gets it. After everyone has drawn twice, the top score wins.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Draw with your finger. Pick a colour, the eraser or a brush size under the board; Undo takes back a line. To guess, type on the big on-screen keyboard and tap Enter.
On a desktop: Draw with the mouse, holding the button down. To guess, just type and press Enter. Everything else is a click.
Tips
- Draw the big shape first, then the detail that gives it away: a cat is a circle with two triangles.
- Stuck for a word? Guess something close: a one-letter-off guess tells you you're close, privately.
- Hard words are worth half as much again, for you and for the guessers.
- Arrows and a quick circle around the important bit help more than shading.

Questions
- Can I play with people I don't know?
- No. Rooms are invite-only: you make a room and share its link or code with people you know. There's no public matchmaking and no list of open rooms.
- Do my friends need to download anything?
- No. They open the link in their phone's browser and they're in. Each player uses their own phone, tablet or computer.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Playing online asks once for your date of birth, and online rooms aren't open to under-13s. Practice drawing doesn't ask for anything.
- Can we chat while we play?
- Only with quick phrases and emotes (Nice one!, So close!, 👏 and friends). Guesses must be real words, so the guess box can't be used to chat.
- Are the drawings saved?
- No. Drawings travel as lines between your phones during a turn and are dropped when the turn ends. If something's wrong, use the report button straight away.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Rooms and practice are free. One extra-letter hint a day is free, and while Suvi is new a few more are on us, with no ad to watch.
