About Bin Toss on Suvi
This page opens straight into bin toss for two players on one device: at your desk, on the sofa or on a long train ride. Each round you both throw from the same spot at the same bin with the same fan blowing, so it's a fair fight, and the score panels show every round's ✓ and ✗. Ten rounds, most balls in the bin wins, and a level match goes to sudden death. Type your names and the score keeps count across games. Playing alone? The computer throws at three levels, and a friend far away can join by link.
How to play
- Press anywhere on the room and pull back, away from the bin: the first few dots of the arc show where the ball will set off.
- Pull further for a harder throw, then let go. The angle and strength show at the top while you pull.
- Watch the fan: its setting (0 to 3) and its arrow show how hard and which way it blows. It pushes the ball sideways while it flies.
- Each round both players throw once. Most balls in the bin after ten rounds wins; level goes to sudden death.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Press on the room, pull back away from the bin, let go to throw. Pull further to throw harder.
On a desktop: Drag back with the mouse and let go, or use Left and Right to set the angle, Up and Down for the strength, and Space to throw. H asks for a hint.
Tips
- Find one throw that works, then change only the strength as the bin moves: the angle matters less than you think.
- Your last throw's angle and strength show before you aim: go a little harder if it fell short.
- A fan blowing towards you needs more strength, and a high lob gets blown about the most. Throw flatter into a strong fan.
- Aim just past the middle: a ball that clips the far rim often drops in, one that clips the near rim rarely does.
Questions
- How does the fan work?
- The fan pushes the ball sideways for as long as it is in the air, with the same push anywhere in the room. Setting 1 is a breeze; setting 3 can carry a long lob about a metre. The arrow shows which way it blows.
- Is it fair if the other player throws second?
- Both players throw at the same bin with the same fan in every round, and who throws first swaps each round, so neither player always sees the other's ball first.
- How good is the computer?
- Easy misses plenty. Medium scores about half its throws. Hard rarely misses when the bin is close, but its hand slips like anyone's on the long throws.
- Can two people play on one phone?
- Yes. Choose Two players and pass the phone after each throw. Both scores and every round's result are always on screen.
- Can I play a friend online?
- Yes: choose With a friend and send the link. You each throw on your own phone and see the other's ball fly exactly as it did for them.
- Is it free?
- Yes, every game, with no account and nothing to download.
