About Blocks on Suvi
Blocks is the block puzzle you've seen on a hundred phones, made properly: an 8×8 board, three pieces at a time, clear a full row or column to make room, and the game ends when nothing fits. On Suvi the daily board deals everyone the same sequence of pieces with a target score to beat, so you can compare with a friend; Endless is for your own best. Drag a piece onto the board or tap the piece and then the square. When nothing fits, you get one 'one more go' per game, which clears your two fullest rows.
How to play
- Drag a piece from the tray onto the board (or tap the piece, then tap where its top-left square goes).
- Fill a whole row or column to clear it. Clear several at once for a bonus.
- When all three pieces are placed, you get three more. The game ends when nothing fits.
- Daily: beat today's target score. Everyone gets the same pieces in the same order.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Drag pieces with your finger; the shadow shows where they'll land. Or tap a piece and tap the board.
On a desktop: Drag with the mouse, or click a piece then click the board.
Tips
- Keep a 3×3 space open somewhere: the big square always comes eventually.
- Clear rows and columns together when you can; the bonus adds up.
- Don't fill corners with awkward shapes early. Lines go in last.
- Place the hardest piece of the three first; the small ones will fit anywhere.

Questions
- Is the daily board the same for everyone?
- Yes: the sequence of pieces is the same for every player on a given day, and the target score is set by our own bot playing the same sequence.
- What happens when nothing fits?
- The game ends and your score is recorded. Once per game you can have one more go, free, which clears your two fullest rows.
- Are the pieces random?
- They're drawn from a set of 19 shapes with weights that keep the game fair; big pieces come less often, and you'll never be dealt three pieces that can't be placed.
- Is there a timer?
- No. Blocks is a thinking game, not a reflex game.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Daily and Endless are free, and every past daily board is open to everyone while Suvi is new.
