Daily Trivia

Five questions a day on history, science, words and more. Same five for everyone.

About Daily Trivia on Suvi

Daily Trivia is five multiple-choice questions a day, the same five for everyone. They cover history, geography, science and nature, food and drink, language and words, arts and music, sport and the human body, and they get a little harder as you go: two easy, two medium and one hard. You get one go at each. Right or wrong, you see the answer straight away, with a one-line "Did you know?" and a link to where the fact comes from. Every question is checked against a reputable source before it goes in, such as an encyclopedia, a museum, a science agency or a sport's own rule book, and we stick to facts that don't change. Your score goes on a share card that shows how you did without giving the answers away.

How to play

  1. Read the question and tap the answer you think is right. You get one go.
  2. See straight away whether you were right, the right answer and a short "Did you know?" with its source.
  3. Tap Next for the next question. The five get harder as you go: two easy, two medium, one hard.
  4. Not sure? Remove two takes away two wrong answers, once a day. Your score and streak go on the share card.

Controls

On a phone or tablet: Tap an answer to lock it in, then tap Next. Remove two sits under the answers.

On a desktop: Click an answer or press 1 to 4 (or A to D). Enter goes to the next question; R takes away two wrong answers.

Tips

Questions

Are the trivia questions the same for everyone?
Yes. There is one set of five questions a day, the same for every player, and it changes at midnight in your time zone. The share card shows your score, never the answers.
How do you make sure the answers are right?
Every question is looked up before it goes in and is backed by a reputable source, such as an encyclopedia, a museum, a science agency or a sport's rule book. We only use facts that don't change, so there are no record holders or "tallest" anything. The source is linked under each answer.
How hard are the questions?
Each day has two easy questions, then two medium and one hard, from eight different subjects, so no two questions in a day are on the same topic. The fifth is meant to make you think.
What does Remove two do?
It takes away two of the wrong answers on one question, leaving you a choice of two. You can use it once a day. While Suvi is new it's on us, with no ad to watch.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It's written for grown-ups, but there's nothing unsuitable: no politics, nothing upsetting, and every question is fine for anyone aged 12 and over.
Is it free?
Yes. Daily Trivia is free with no account and no download; it runs in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
