About Bubbles on Suvi
Bubbles is Suvi's bubble shooter: a bubble pop game you play by aiming, not by tapping fast. A field of colored bubbles hangs from the top; you aim the shooter at the bottom and fire one bubble at a time. It flies straight, bounces off the sides and sticks where it touches. Join three or more of the same color and they pop, and any bubbles left hanging from nothing drop off for double points. Every five shots that pop nothing, the field comes down a row, and if it crosses the line at the bottom the game is over. The daily field is the same for everyone, with twelve rows to clear and a score and shot count to compare; Endless keeps the rows coming. Every color also has its own white mark, so you never need to tell colors apart. It's free, with no download.
How to play
- Drag to aim (a dotted guide shows the way to the first bounce), then let go to fire. On a computer, aim with the mouse and click, or use the arrow keys and space.
- The bubble flies straight, bounces off the side walls and sticks to the first bubble it touches.
- Join three or more of one color and they pop. Anything left hanging from nothing drops, for double points.
- Every five shots that pop nothing, the field comes down a row; the counter by the shooter shows how many shots are left. Don't let it cross the line.
- Daily: clear all twelve rows, in as few shots as you can. Endless: keep going as the rows keep coming.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Put your finger on the field and drag to aim; the guide shows the line to the first bounce. Let go to fire, or slide back down below the shooter to change your mind. Tap the next bubble (or the shooter) to swap the two.
On a desktop: Move the mouse to aim and click to fire, or use the left and right arrow keys to aim and space (or the up arrow) to fire. C or the down arrow swaps the next bubble in.
Tips
- Aim for the bubbles holding others up: pop the few at the top of a cluster and everything under them drops for double points.
- Bounce off the walls to reach round a group; the guide shows exactly where the first bounce is.
- Swap when the bubble in the shooter has nowhere useful to go: the next one may fit better.
- Watch the counter by the shooter: when a new row is one shot away, make that shot pop something.
- In the daily, fewer shots means a bigger clear bonus, so line up the shots that drop the most.
Questions
- Is Bubbles free?
- Yes. The daily field and Endless are free, with no account and nothing to download.
- Is the daily field the same for everyone?
- Yes. Everyone gets the same starting field, the same rows waiting above it and the same bubbles to shoot, in the same order. Once a color is gone from the field it stops coming, so a bubble of that color becomes one still there; the same shots give everyone the same game.
- How is it scored?
- Each popped bubble scores 10 and each dropped one 20, and a fall of ten or more counts double. Clearing the daily field adds 500, plus 40 for every shot under 75, so fewer shots score more.
- What happens if the bubbles cross the line?
- The game is over. Once per game you can have the bottom two rows cleared and keep going, free while Suvi is new. In the daily you can try the same field again as often as you like.
- I find some colors hard to tell apart. Can I still play?
- Yes. Every color has its own white mark (a triangle, a ring, a square, a diamond, a star and a cross), so the colors never need telling apart. There's also a color-blind palette in Settings.
- Can I play it on a computer?
- Yes. Aim with the mouse and click to fire, or use the arrow keys and space. It works by touch on a phone or tablet too.
