About Sudoku on Suvi
Medium on Suvi means the puzzle needs at least one step beyond singles: a naked pair, a pointing pair or a box-line move. You'll feel the moment the grid opens up. Ten minutes for most people, less once the techniques are second nature.
How to play
- Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9 once.
- Tap a square, then tap a number. Tap the pencil to jot candidates in a square instead.
- Undo takes back your last move. Erase clears a square. Hint fills one square and tells you why.
- Finish the puzzle to log your time and keep your daily streak going.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Tap a square, then a number on the pad. Tap Pencil to switch to candidate notes. Pinch isn't needed: the grid fits your screen.
On a desktop: Click a square or use the arrow keys. Type 1–9 to fill, Backspace to clear, P to toggle pencil mode, U to undo.
Tips
- Start with the rows, columns and boxes that already have the most numbers.
- Look for a number that can only go in one place in a box (a hidden single) before trying anything cleverer.
- Pencil marks are for the hard puzzles. On easy and medium you can usually get by without them.
- If two squares in a box can only be the same two numbers, no other square in that box can be either of them.

Questions
- Is Suvi Sudoku free?
- Yes. Today's puzzles at all four difficulties are free every day, plus a few extra practice puzzles. While Suvi is new, every past puzzle is open to everyone too.
- Are there ads?
- Not while Suvi is new: there are no ads at all, and hints are free. If ads come later, they'll only ever be short ones you choose to watch for a hint. Never banners, pop-ups or anything that interrupts play.
- Is it the same puzzle for everyone?
- Yes. Each day's puzzle is the same for every player, and it changes at midnight in your own time zone.
- Does every puzzle have one solution?
- Always. Every grid is checked for a single solution before you see it, and graded by the solving techniques it needs.
- Can I play on my phone?
- Suvi is built for phones first. The grid fits a portrait screen with big tap targets, and it works just as well on a tablet or desktop.
