About Sudoku on Suvi
Large print here means today's Easy sudoku drawn as big as your screen allows: bold numbers, thick lines round the boxes, the square you're on outlined in black and number keys you can't miss. Pencil marks are bigger too. It's the same puzzle as the Easy tab on the main Sudoku page, so your time and your streak count the same, and it only needs the basics to solve. On a tablet the grid grows bigger still. Tap Bigger text at the top of the page and the words around the grid get bigger as well; it's remembered on that device. If you'd rather use a pen, there's a printable sudoku on the Printables page every day.
How to play
- Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, every column and every 3×3 box contains the numbers 1 to 9 once.
- Tap a square, then tap a number. Tap the pencil to jot candidates in a square instead.
- Undo takes back your last move. Erase clears a square. Hint fills one square and tells you why.
- Finish the puzzle to log your time and keep your daily streak going.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Tap a square, then a number on the pad. Tap Pencil to switch to candidate notes. Pinch isn't needed: the grid fits your screen.
On a desktop: Click a square or use the arrow keys. Type 1–9 to fill, Backspace to clear, P to toggle pencil mode, U to undo.
Tips
- Start with the rows, columns and boxes that already have the most numbers.
- Look for a number that can only go in one place in a box (a hidden single) before trying anything cleverer.
- Pencil marks are for the hard puzzles. On easy and medium you can usually get by without them.
- If two squares in a box can only be the same two numbers, no other square in that box can be either of them.

Questions
- Is Suvi Sudoku free?
- Yes. Today's puzzles at all four difficulties are free every day, plus a few extra practice puzzles. While Suvi is new, every past puzzle is open to everyone too.
- Are there ads?
- Not while Suvi is new: there are no ads at all, and hints are free. If ads come later, they'll only ever be short ones you choose to watch for a hint. Never banners, pop-ups or anything that interrupts play.
- Is it the same puzzle for everyone?
- Yes. Each day's puzzle is the same for every player, and it changes at midnight in your own time zone.
- Does every puzzle have one solution?
- Always. Every grid is checked for a single solution before you see it, and graded by the solving techniques it needs.
- Can I play on my phone?
- Suvi is built for phones first. The grid fits a portrait screen with big tap targets, and it works just as well on a tablet or desktop.
