About Tidy on Suvi
Tidy is a cosy sorting puzzle. A room's shelves are a jumble: mugs on top of honey pots, socks under beanies. Lift the top item off one shelf and put it on another, and keep going until every shelf holds four of a kind. You can only put things on an empty shelf or on top of the same kind, so the order matters, but undo is free and unlimited and there is no clock. Each day brings a new room for everyone (a living room, a pantry, a wardrobe, a bathroom, a craft corner), with a par score set by our own solver, so you can see how neat your tidy was. Every item is drawn in code, and each one has its own shape as well as its own colour.
How to play
- Tap a shelf to lift its top item. Any identical items right underneath come with it.
- Tap another shelf to put them down. It must be empty, or have the same kind of thing on top, with room to spare.
- A shelf holding four of one kind is finished: it glows and gets a tick.
- Tidy every shelf to finish the room. Fewer moves is neater: try to match the par.
- Stuck? Undo is free. A hint shows the next good move; one more shelf gives you extra room.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Tap a shelf to pick up, tap another to put down. Tap the same shelf again to put things back.
On a desktop: Click a shelf, then click where it goes. Keys 1 to 9 pick shelves, arrows and Enter work too, Z undoes, H asks for a hint.
Tips
- Use an empty shelf as a waiting area, but try to get it back empty quickly.
- Before you move something, check where the item underneath it will go.
- Finish shelves that are nearly done first: a full shelf of one kind is out of the way for good.
- Moving a pair together saves a move, so wait until both are on top.
- If the par feels far away, restart: the room is the same and you'll see it differently.

Questions
- Can every room be finished?
- Yes. Each room is made by starting from a tidy room and messing it up with moves that can be undone, then our solver checks it and sets the par. Our bot also plays the daily room through the screen before it goes live.
- What is par?
- The fewest moves our solver needs for the room. Matching it is a neat tidy; going over is fine. There's no timer unless you switch one on in Settings.
- Is the daily room the same for everyone?
- Yes. Everyone gets the same room on the same day, so you can compare moves with friends. It changes at midnight where you are.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The daily room, two extra rooms a day and Endless are free. One hint a day is free. While Suvi is new, a few more hints, or one more shelf, are on us, with no ad to watch.
- Can I play if I find colours hard to tell apart?
- Yes. Every item has its own shape as well as its own colour, so a mug never looks like a jar even in black and white.
