About Snake on Suvi
Classic is the snake game as it was on the old phones: an open board that wraps at the edges, one apple at a time, and a snake that gets longer and faster until you run out of room. Swipe anywhere on the board to turn, or use the arrow keys. Your best length is kept on this device.
How to play
- Press Play. The snake starts moving; swipe (or press an arrow) to turn.
- Eat the apple to grow and score. Walls end your run; so does your own tail. Edges wrap.
- Portals are paired: go in one, come out of the other, same direction.
- Beat today's target before the sixty seconds are up. One free revive per run.
Controls
On a phone or tablet: Swipe anywhere on the board to turn (two quick swipes queue two turns). Or tap the arrow buttons under the board.
On a desktop: Arrow keys or WASD. Space pauses.
Tips
- Turn early: the snake turns on the next square, not the one you're on.
- Use the wrap: the shortest route to an apple is often off the edge.
- Portals keep your direction, so check what's on the far side before you go in.
- In the last ten seconds, play safe. A revive costs more time than a careful route.

Questions
- Is the maze the same for everyone?
- Yes: the walls and portals are set by the date, so everyone in your time zone plays the same maze. The first apple is the same too; after that they follow where your snake has been.
- What's the target?
- Our bot plays the day's maze for sixty seconds first; the target is a bit below what it scores. Beat it and the share card says so.
- Can I play without the timer?
- Yes, Classic mode is endless, with no maze and no clock.
- Why did I die at the edge?
- You didn't: the edges wrap. If the run ended you hit a wall square or your own tail.
- Is it free?
- Yes. The daily and Classic are free with no account. Once per daily run you can have a revive, free while Suvi is new, with no ad to watch.
