A daily puzzle is a small, finished thing: one grid, one go, done. Because everyone gets the same one, it is something to talk about ("how long did today's take you?") and the share cards let you compare without spoilers. Streaks keep count of the days in a row on your device; accounts, coming soon, will keep them safe on every device.
When do they change?
At midnight in your own time zone. Someone in Sydney gets tomorrow's puzzle while it is still this afternoon in London, and that is fine: the puzzle for a date is the same everywhere.
